Children’s Communion Classes are held annually or more and are usually the precursor to children beginning to receive Holy Communion in worship regularly. This is a fun, interactive class that includes baking the bread they will use for Communion the following Sunday! The pastor works with each family to determine the most appropriate age for beginning to receive communion, but children typically participate in this one-session class around the time they begin to read and write. Contact Pastor Matt for more information.

Jr. High and High School Youth:
Confirmation ministry, typically for 7th and 8th graders, is a two-year program. In one year we make our way through the entire Bible, with the Old Testament in the Fall/Winter and the New Testament in Spring. Then in the second year, we focus on the Christian Life and what it means to be a Lutheran Christian. After two years of study, students “confirm their faith” —or affirm the promises God made to them in baptism—in a worship service. Let us know if you would like your student to join us!
High School Youth Events Coming Soon
High schoolers meet during the school year for a discussion of how our faith intersects with current events. We also have special activities, such as a trip to mini-golf, hiking, a snow day, a movie night, and more. Jr. High students are also invited to attend these events. Keep an eye out for announcements and check the calendar!
